About the studio
Curiosity starts it.
Care carries it through.
A good idea is a beginning. What happens next—the choices, the refinements, the attention to everyday use—is what makes it worth keeping. That’s the work we enjoy at Noble Bytes.
These are a few of the decisions behind our mobile apps. Consider them notes from the workbench.
Curious about ideas.
Not your data.
An app should need a good reason to ask for your information. We start by asking what can stay on your device, and whether an account or a network connection is needed at all.
That also makes offline use a natural fit. When a task can happen on your device, a missing connection should not get in the way.
People don’t come
in default settings.
Different eyes, different hands, different ways of using a screen. Readable interfaces, clear controls, and meaningful choices belong in the design from the beginning.
Mystiword’s four color schemes are one example: the game can adapt to different vision needs, instead of expecting everyone to see things the same way.
Care in the details.
Clear controls, sensible defaults, and interactions that make sense. We pay attention to the details you notice every time you open an app.
The work continues after release. Fixing a rough edge or making a familiar task easier deserves just as much care as building something new.
A fair deal.
Without the maze.
You should understand what an app costs and what you get. We favor straightforward pricing over pressure to spend or interfaces that quietly steer you into a purchase.
Mystiword puts that into practice with a one-time purchase, no ads, and no subscriptions. The puzzles can be tricky. The price should be clear.
